Alwyn is a specialist advocate who has appeared in the Criminal Courts since 1984. He has held Higher Rights of Audience since 1995 and as such, most of his working day is spent in the Crown Court.
He has been involved in more than some 30 murder trials as Counsel and has conducted attempted murder trials as sole advocate.
Alwyn is one of the few Higher Court Advocates to be appointed to the VHCC panel, enabling him to appear as Counsel on the most complex of cases. He deals exclusively with serious offences and has an unsurpassed knowledge of the law he also appears regularly in the Court of Appeal.
