Richard Boucher, a director at leading Midlands law firm Cartwright King (which has an office in Nottingham, Derby, Leicester) has recently spoken at a national conference at Birmingham University.
Richard was invited to be a guest speaker at the conference which was focused on the overlap between crime and mental health. He delivered a speech on the topic of ‘The Law on Homicide and its implications for Mental Health Practitioners ‘ to an audience of over 250 delegates comprising of doctors, administrators and other law firms from across the West Midlands.
The day was sponsored by St Andrews Hospital in Birmingham, the UK’s largest mental healthcare charity and all the speakers’ fees for the day were donated to a local Children’s Hospice in Birmingham.
Richard said “It was an honour to be invited to speak at this event. As a legal firm specialising in both criminal defence and mental health we are ideally placed to provide a valuable perspective on this topic and I look forward to any future opportunities this may attract.”
