Leading
Midlands business and criminal defence firm
Cartwright King has now also opened an office in Birmingham. The
firm already has offices in Nottingham, Derby, Leicester and
Sheffield and has opened an office in Birmingham in response to the growing demand for its services in the West Midlands.
Initially
focusing on business defence and professional discipline, the office
will be headed up by Mark Wilson, Cartwright King’s head of
business defence and Mandip Kumar who has recently joined the firm to
lead the professional discipline team.
Mandip
joins Cartwright King from Russell Jones & Walker, another
leading national business defence firm. He brings with him a niche
defence practice in professional disciplinary matters that will be an
important element of the firm’s Birmingham office. Mandip
has practised in Birmingham for many years
and has built up a strong reputation for the fearless defence of
individuals.
Michael
Thurston, managing director of Cartwright
King said “The firm has grown substantially over the past few years
and we feel this is the right time to establish a permanent presence
in the West Midlands. Our niche practice is a leader in the East
Midlands having recently being named as the number one firm for
business defence for the fifth year running by Legal 500. I have
every confidence that our team will lay the foundations for
establishing Cartwright King as one of the foremost business defence
and professional discipline practices in Birmingham, and grow the
office over the coming months.”
