Free Business Defence Legal Clinics

Leading Midlands fraud and regulatory defence firm Cartwright King is launching a series of free legal clinics for local business people.

The clinics will be run by the firm's business defence specialists who will be providing confidential, expert advice to individuals who are concerned that they could, at some point, be implicated in some form of investigation into a business in which they gave been involved. This could arise out of irregularities discovered by a liquidator, a tax investigation, or one of the wide range of regulatory problem including health & safety, environmental of trading standards.

The clinics take place on the last Wednesday of each month from 5-7pm in Cartwright King’s Nottingham City centre office on South Parade.  This will make is convenient for business people to attend after work.  Although an email address is provided to allow people to book a slot at the clinics to ensure the relevant specialist is available, should they prefer anyone can simply turn up and receive free, confidential advice without disclosing their name or sensitive information. Mark Wilson, head of business defence at Cartwright King said “We recognise that there could be many local business people who are worried that there are things that they or their businesses have done in the past, that could be misinterpreted and which could then have a detrimental effect on them.”

“In the current economic climate, the threat of insolvency is greater than ever and this brings with it, close scrutiny of all those involved in a business that could be subject to an investigation,”  continued Mark.   “However in these difficult times when people are trying to restrict their spending, they don’t know where to turn for specialist legal advice without incurring costs that they can’t afford.   We hope that by offering these free clinics, we will be able to provide some answers and relieve some of the stress and worry.”
