Sundip Meghani, a trainee solicitor from leading Leicester business and criminal defence firm Cartwright King has been elected onto the Executive Committee of the recently established Leicestershire Junior Lawyers Division (LJLD).

Sundip will be the National Junior Lawyers Division Representative for the Leicestershire region. His role includes liaising between the Leicestershire JLD and the national JLD, providing two-way feedback on policy changes, events, charity work, and on the issues affecting Leicester’s young legal professionals.

The JLD is a division of the Law Society and represents student members of the Society enrolled through the Solicitors Regulation Authority, as well as trainee solicitors and solicitors with up to five years' active post-qualification expertise. It was set up as a specific group within the Law Society to provide junior lawyers with support, advice, information and networking opportunities. The organisation also represents the views of its members through lobbying and campaigns both in the United Kingdom and internationally.

“I’m very much looking forward to championing our County’s young legal professionals at the national level. My colleague’s on the LJLD are very dedicated and enthusiastic, and I think we’ll work extremely well together.” said Sundip.
