| Immigration law specialist David Smith of leading Midlands law firm Cartwright King is returning to Derby after five years away to spearhead the firm’s immigration services in the city.
The move follows an expansion of the firm’s immigration work which includes all aspects of immigration and nationality law for individuals, families and businesses, and the growth of its immigration team. Other members of the team include Ghuffar Usman, who heads up the department, and Rachel Harvey, who has recently qualified and specialises in immigration work.
In his new role David will be covering both the Derby and Nottingham offices and will be available for appointments from the beginning of April. His fellow immigration specialists will also be providing additional support as demand for Cartwright King’s immigration services grows.
Previously of Nelsons, David joined Cartwright King in 2006 and has vast experience of immigration law. Having qualifying as a solicitor 20 years ago, he is now widely recognised as a specialist in this area and Chambers Guide have described him as ‘a leader in the field’.
“I’m very excited to be coming back to work in my home city of Derby” said David. “I know there is a real need for skilled, honest advice in this difficult area of law, and I am delighted to be able to be providing this service locally from our office in Derby.”
