We are committed to defending individuals using
public funding wherever possible. The Legal Services Commission
sets the rules on eligibility for Legal Aid, but we believe that
everyone is entitled to a first class defence whoever is paying
for it. We fight very hard to ensure our clients receive their full
entitlement.
Legal aid funding provides for:
 |
free representation at the police
station |
 |
free representation, in most cases, in the
Magistrates Court |
 |
free assistance (subject to a means test
for less serious cases in the Magistrates Court) |
 |
free representation for everyone in the Crown
Court (with, possibly, a contribution subject to a means test
at the end of the case, if found guilty) |
Rest assured, we will explore all the options with you before we
begin any work on your defence. We pride ourselves on being open,
frank and realistic with our clients and you will know from the
very beginning - and at every later stage - your entitlement to
Legal Aid.
